Alex Ringeisen, M.D.
Dr. Alex Ringeisen, M.D., is a highly skilled ophthalmologist specializing in surgical and medical retina. Dr. Ringeisen graduated with Bachelor of Science with distinction from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI and went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. His residency was at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI, and he interned at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI. He completed his fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at VitreoRetinal Surgery, PA, and Minneapolis, MN.
He is a member of professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Association of Retina Specialists, Vit Buckle Society, Club Vit, and the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Ringeisen is licensed to practice in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and South Dakota, and serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota.
Alex enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife Laura and three children. He and Laura have been season ticket holders for Wisconsin Badgers Football since 2005 and love hosting tailgate parties for family and friends at both home and away games. Additionally, he enjoys golf, pickle ball, running around the Minneapolis lakes, and traveling to historic sports stadiums.
